Anita G Photography
Anita has been studying photography since 2008 and started up as ‘Anita G Photography’ in 2012 when she started to realise she was living photography more than studying it. She has studied at Brighton Bay: Art, Design, and Photography course (2011) and at Swinburne University of Technology doing their Visual Art Diploma (2013) which had a very big focus on photography.

During the photography part of the Visual Art course she discovered light painting and created a fantastically grand image based on the show Teen Wolf. The image has been printed and framed in the Teen Wolf Post Production offices as well featured in their Season 3a Fan Booklet. She is now out of the Teen Wolf fandom but has also made three other images to honor the actors and characters..

Since graduating with mostly high distinctions and a head full of new ideas then Anita has been dipping and diving throughout different genres of photography.

During 2013 Anita discovered a performance bar on Chapel Street in Prahran, Red Bennies. Thanks to the kindness of Enid, Anita was able to come and photograph performances. She learnt a lot at these shows but it wasn’t until the end of 2013 when she helped Ange of 3 Fates Media in shooting at the Chapel off Chapel ‘Short + Sweet Festival’ that everything started to shape up.

Thanks to Ange, and his knowledge and willing to help in her venture, Anita started to form a better idea of who she is as a photographer. She sought to find more shows to shoot and discovered Speakeasy HQ, a small (at the time) performance night where burlesque, circus, magic and other performers would gather and show off their skills.

In mid 2014 Anita interned at The Photo Studio in Sydney. She traveled across the country to live for the internship. Unfortunately 2 months in Anita realised that this sort of photography and attitude were not for her. She left the internship but stayed in Sydney for another 6 months before returning to Melbourne at the start of 2015.

As well as performance, Anita attends cosplay (costume play) conventions and makes sure that people have good memories of all their hard work! She has been shooting at cosplay conventions since 2011. Recently (June 2015) she participated in Oz Comic Cons ‘Cosplay Central’ where she was given a time slot and area to take photos of cosplayers. It was a great success and Anita made many new friends as well as seeing some amazing costumes.
